Shark Tank India judge and BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover has been making headlines after his family was allegedly accused of misappropriating the company’s funds.

All these controversies began while he was judging a television reality show, Shark Tank India to promote entrepreneurship in the country. Recently, he was also accused of selling VIP tickets of ICC T20 World Cup for crores. But Grover clapped back on Twitter for falsely framing him and calling out the BharatPe board.

As per reports, BharatPe had a partnership with ICC T20 World Cup where they were given seats in the VIP section. However, Grover was accused of selling the tickets for 15k each and of later pocketing the money.

But recently, the Shark Tank India Judge took to his Twitter handle to address these controversial claims against him and break his silence on the matter. He posted a picture of himself from the match where he is sitting with his friends ( BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer and Sumeet Singh) as a proof and tweeted, “What BharatPe Board thinks I am doing at ICC World Cup ’10 ka 2, 10 ka 2, 10ka 2 – aye sahab mangta hai kya black ticket mine (want a ticket in black)?!’ What I am actually doing is ensuring Suhail Sameer and @sumeetsingh29 don’t drink silly the hospitality section dry. Kuchh nahi mila to kuchh bhi (You are conjuring up controversies out of thin air now)”

He also followed up this first tweet by sharing a skit on Shark Tank India created by content creator Ashish Chanchalani. “Board waalo yeh sab doglapan chodo aur yeh dekho (People from the board, stop such hypocrisy and watch this)- much more creative and fun for everyone,” he wrote.

This is not the first time Grover was accused of misappropriating funds in recent times. For the uninitiated, he also landed in big controversies after an audio clip went viral online where he was allegedly abusing a Kotak Mahindra staff with death threats.

Grover and his wife were embroiled in a tussle with BharatPe for a while now. The board members of the company accused his wife Madhuri Jain of using company money for family trips abroad.

Grover has denied all of such claims and has even resigned from the startup. In a statement to Business Today, he said that the accusations against him and his wife come from “personal hatred and low thinking.” He also added, “The only thing lavish about me is my dreams and ability to achieve them against all odds through hard work and enterprise.”
