The position of Privacy Program Manager will report to the Chief Privacy Officer and will develop and maintain the company’s privacy compliance program. The position will provide independent strategic advice and direction on privacy compliance across BAE Systems, Inc.

Detailed job description:

  • Develop and mature the company’s privacy compliance program across a wide range of disciplines in a dynamic and evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs); assess risks and gaps identified by PIAs and work with stakeholders to develop remedial action plans.
  • Develop an internal data privacy control framework to identify and document controls and assess risks as part of ongoing compliance.
  • Create and manage internal support tools to respond to day-to-day privacy compliance questions and right-to-know requests.
  • Perform a data inventory and data mapping exercise.
  • Document and assess current processes and workflows to ensure data privacy compliance.
  • Develop and administer data privacy training for appropriate employees.
  • Develop and manage procedures for verifying and auditing vendors and other third parties for compliance with privacy and data security policies and legal requirements.
  • Understand regulatory and technical changes as they occur and provide guidance across the business.
  • Develop schedules and deliver work product on time.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to bring together a cross-functional team and drive organizational change.
  • Strong project management skills to develop and implement the company’s privacy compliance program.

Preferred Education Experience:

  • Masters or Juris Doctor.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of privacy program management experience.
  • Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) designation.
