SGS College has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Provision Manager at our Stroud campus.

Are you passionate about helping people with moderate to profound learning disabilities live life to their fullest and achieve their ambitions? Are you looking for an opportunity to progress to an entry-level management position? We are looking for an experienced manager to join our SGS College CHASE team. You will help manage and develop our growing post 16 offering for young people with SLD/MLD who aspire to work in hospitality. You will also play a key role in growing our PMLD offering. The CHASE team consists of 4 tutors and a team of dedicated classroom support workers, along with other support staff who are currently caring for 21 young people, all of whom have EHCP. Many of our students work to prepare and serve food at our on-site Prickly Pear Café and use our wider college community and beyond to work toward adult readiness outcomes, including employment.

Key elements of the role

The role will involve a mix of management and administration duties as well as day-to-day teaching delivery. This will include community access, daily living and social activities. The position will include management of staff rotations, supervisions and evaluations, review of support plans and risk assessments, management of health and safety checks and maintenance reports. You will work closely with the Learning Area Manager and Faculty Manager to inspire and motivate the team to deliver high quality service. You will contribute to the implementation of the requirements of the legislation in force.

Acting as a role model in the delivery of education, you will foster and sustain person-centered approaches and inclusive community connections to achieve positive outcomes with youth in our department. You will be required to attend education and health care plan reviews, record daily diaries, administer medications, liaise with our speech and language support teams and additional learning. Skills and expertise

* Share our values ​​of Empowerment, Empowerment and Engagement and be able to positively implement them
* Ability to supervise staff
* Have experience supporting people with learning disabilities/autism and/or complex needs and/or concerning behaviors
* Communicate effectively with staff at all levels, professionals and families outside the College as well as the students we support using communication aids as needed
* Have confidence in their ability to take initiative and ensure the smooth running of the service on a daily basis
* Have strong computer skills and be able to manage time and work under pressure
* Creativity, motivation and enthusiasm to bring new ideas to the service and implement them to shape the service as part of continuous improvement
